The "history" of Poppy is kinda fascinating. Her older videos were arguably mostly driven by a former associate of hers but they were weirdly compelling and I guess gave her a springboard to find her own niche eventually, toxin-free. But those old videos, and her old persona, are still essential viewing.

I wanted to go and see Poppy (supported by Wargasm) in Bristol the other day, but a. no one would go with me (which doesn't gel with my social anxiety) and b. I was exhausted from work. Sad boi.

I’m someone with much more of an electro industrial and cyber goth background, but that does include NIN and Ministry as well. So, although I don’t usually listen to Bad Omens, this one did resonate with me a lot! The first band I thought of, with the production on the vocals, was Mind In A Box, an electronic band from Austria. I did also love the theme of this song.

Poppy's Arc is so interesting. I didn't connect with her early stuff, but she just keeps getting better and better and I've been so fully on board since Flux.

Poppy just doesn't miss, no matter the genre. She could put out a hick-hop album and it'd still be subversive and amazing, I swear.
And the band did an awesome job as well, I don't know Bad Omens, but I'm very impressed with them.
