If you’re read these two books, you’ll know the outlook back then was bleak and scary. Well, we are there now for real. Welcome to a world where humans are constantly under surveillance. Where designer children are genetically selected, drones hover the skies, companies implant microchips in their employees, and artificial intelligence poses a direct challenge to our own.

Donald Trump was warning against what Orwell predicted. You got that totally wrong. The MSM is a joke. Every day they tell us things that are easily disprovable with our own eyes. Can’t believe you didn’t see this.

too bad they had to work some anti-Trump-ism into an otherwise good documentary. Straw manning Trump's argument – that came out of left field in an Orwell / Huxley vid

I think brave new world is more realistic, because humans do turn to pleasure as distraction when we are having difficulty facing our challenges and responsibilities.
And 1984 is just a depressed version of a possible big government, small group controlled state.

They were on the same side as the Democrats!!!!! Betrayed by their OWN team!!!!! They were Marxist Socialists!!!! And yes, just like Sodom and Gomorrah and the days of Noah, It will all be destroyed because of Hedonism. SUSKS!!!!

I think theres a bit of cross proposal between them, but Brave New World is closer to the 20th and 21st century realities. There are several movies that speak to corporate authoritarianism and the despotic future we face.

sigh… yeah all msm was under trumps thumb, thats why they where on a non stop witch hunt for him on a weekly basis. im no fan of the man but the tds is majorly scary. he was not great but he was a step better than most around the globe… but i guess ppl prefer the comfortable lie.

What is it with all journalists misrepresenting Trump!! Trump has no affiliation with mainstream media.. to say that he ordered msm to put out that identical message is factually false!! He is forever calling out the media giants for not covering news accurately! This doc was made several years ago and I think now in 2024 we can clearly see, it’s a leftist led movement that is in control! WEF/WHO/UN and Marxist lefties!

Brave New World was especially on point in my opinion, at least on the reality of the 21st century, while 1984 described the 20th century. I never knew Huxley and Orwell knew each other, interesting to learn about their lives. Really enjoyed this doc, thx. But God that designer baby factory is so freakish. Unsettling

I so much wish they would make these videos only about the books, and not about all that extra fluff talking about all the things the authors did in their free time.

I imagine it is meant to show WHY they wrote what they wrote instead of something else, but it is not needed, and it shows a lack of content or ideas to fill the ONE hour video, that they have to use their PRIVATE lives (ironically) as reasons for the points of view. If the book only gives YOU content for half hour, make a video about half hour on the BOOKS and its ideas. Why do I need to know she was in Italy or at war, or whatever…. the author and his work never match, that has been demonstrated many times.

I was enjoying this until it veered into a completely unjustified slam of Donald Trump. Just as I would immediately evacuate a very nice swimming pool after someone took a dump into it, I’m moving on. The Dems falsely accuse their opponents of that which they are guilty. OBVIOUSLY guilty.

Two differently positioned economically status men writing two different futures, both of them dystopian… not a surprise. A situation in future's outlook as old as civilization itself. As the video implies, it most likely will be. a mix of the two… also predictably.

Pehlim McMann and those like him are actually the enemy here.

Donald Trump is absolutely correct that you cannot believe anything "out there" in the media – but if the whole speech is watched in context, there is NO suggestion that Trump was implying that HE personally is the only trustworthy source.

McMann has taken a literal "soundbite" and framed this as "straight out of 1984"; when it is he, and his "liberal" acolytes who are the true fascists – indoctrinating young people in colleges and universities to question only one side; whilst blindly buying into the fascism of the elitist left.

If McMann were to even imply a critique of Biden Pelosi; Newsome or any of the "democratic" party cadre; he would be fired and cancelled instantaneously; if he suggested his students question the rigid dogmas of intersectionality and diversity; we would be fired instantaneously.

This presentation is very good in parts but extremely disingenuous in its overall "message"

The threat to our societies is from the left – because they are pretending it isn't. Ignorance is strength.

OMG. This guys used one of the cheapest manipulation tactic. They turned the story around to make it seem like Trump is a Big Brother and control 90% of Mass Media.:) TDS is a real severe disease.

Do you think anybody believes the people who claim that they are 24/7 'ghost' prisoners of AGI Neural weapons? Psychiatrists drug them and the world is a beautiful place.

Huxley was in the elite ranks.. Orwell was not. Aldous Huxley knew that the advancement of technology would be the instrument of control because he was privy of the plans of those at the top. Orwell simply saw first hand the brutal nature of control while Huxley saw the scientific possibility of a passive society ruled by social engineering and genetics.. that is where we are headed now a type of Technocratic dictatorship by use of transhumanism and internet of bodies human 2.0

It's clear that much time and effort went into research, production, filming, and editing of this documentary film. Thank you for such a well done perspective on these two important novels.

Please don't respond to the comment trolls. That is their way of winning tiny battles in their mind and the way they try to abase your entire point by hyperfocusing on one small portion of the film.

You cannot give them the eyes to see it or ears to hear it…

I think your message will be received by those capable of comprehending it. These days, my most fervent hope is that there are still enough of us left to matter.

Edit: In keeping with the theme of authors who wrote of visions of a dystopian future, the YouTube comments have a way of leading one's mind to Rand.

The trump part is definitely a sound bite. Also a lot of the stuff he was accused of by the media turned out to be false after his presidency. The media and White House telling you a man can be a woman is a great example of rejecting what your eyes see.

You had me until the orange man bad stuff. It's absolute sacrilege to take the writings of Huxley and Orwell, and to frame their warnings to one specific individual as the scapegoat. It's the entire structure and status quo that both of these authors were warning of conforming to, not a cult of personality. Shame on you.
