Personally never understood the mega-hate Desmond gets. Sure, maybe he shifted your favorites from straight up rock and introduced some power pop in there. Maybe it’s just me, because I actually don’t mind when groups branch out and get adventurous and try new things. I think for what Desmond does he absolutely crushes it. Dude has revitalized a number of flagging artists and given their careers the boosts they needed to keep going and refresh their sound and their audience in the process. Heck, some have stayed around too long, ha! Looking forward to more clips from this one, man!

Excellent. Dynasty was my real KISS entry point (LOVE that album). I liked the fact they could do different styles. I picked up Love Gun after that and awaited the next album ('Unmasked') which I could tell overall was steered toward more pop fare; but actually all the songs are rather good/hooky, BUT having the same producer as Dynasty (Vinnie Poncia) I felt the production was muddy compared to Dynasty-odd. I kind of fell off the KISS bandwagon as the 80's soldiered on but love the three albums mentioned above AND 'Destroyer' as well. 'I Was Made For Loving You' is a pop/rock/disco masterpiece. Listen to Ace's solo on there – wow!
