Knocked Loose, the hardcore outfit known for their intense and crushing sound, has released a new song titled “Don’t Reach for Me.” This track is the latest single from their upcoming album, “You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To.”

The band, which previously released the hard-hitting single “Blinding Faith,” takes a more experimental and prog-like approach with “Don’t Reach for Me.” The song features extreme metal drumming that adds an element of unpredictability, with blast beats transitioning into thrashy gallops reminiscent of black metal sub-genres.

Frontman Bryan Garris’s vocals cut through the mix with powerful howls, adding to the intensity of the track. Garris described the lyrics of “Don’t Reach for Me” as one of the “meanest songs” he has ever written, highlighting its theme of confronting someone who attempted to disrupt his personal life.

According to guitarist Isaac Hale, the upcoming album, “You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To,” promises to be one of the strongest hardcore releases of 2024. Hale expressed that the band’s goal with this album was to push the boundaries of their sound, incorporating elements of speed, intensity, catchiness, and melody to create a diverse listening experience.

In support of their new album, Knocked Loose will embark on a North American tour starting April 27th in Las Vegas at the Sick New World festival. The album is set to be released on May 10th.
